✨ April’s Virtue: Honesty ✨
This month at Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools, we’re highlighting honesty—the virtue of speaking the truth, acting with integrity, and living with a sincere heart.
Honesty builds trust, strengthens friendships, and helps us reflect Christ in all we do. We’re encouraging our students to choose truth even when it’s difficult, to take responsibility for their actions, and to let their words and choices shine with authenticity.
✨ “The Lord delights in those who speak the truth.” – Proverbs 12:22

PS5 has been learning about the five senses! They recently explored the sense of taste by testing three different flavors of Peeps—original, cotton candy, and party cake. Students had fun describing the flavors and sharing their favorites!

PS4 and 6th grade buddies soaked up some sunshine while making snowmen and enjoying the fresh air after the cold days we've had! ☀️❄️

The PES Sisters and a few former St. Lambert students met with our 4th graders today for a special Lenten-focused lesson on the many ways we can pray and talk to Jesus. Students explored how prayer can take different forms and reflected on how they personally grow closer to Him during this sacred season. We are grateful for the Sisters and high school students who continue to share their faith and witness with our students.

We loved welcoming the PES Sisters and former St. Lambert students this week! They spent time with our 3rd graders sharing a meaningful Lenten lesson. Students participated in a fun relay activity focused on the three pillars of Lent — prayer, fasting, and almsgiving — and worked together to deepen their understanding of each one. They also took time to reflect personally, writing about a specific way they are showing their love for Jesus this season.

Our 4th graders had the opportunity to attend the Water Festival — a wonderful hands-on learning experience focused on the importance of water and the water cycle. Students explored concepts such as evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and conservation through engaging presentations and interactive activities.

🕊️ March’s Virtue: Self-Control 🕊️
This month at Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools, we’re focusing on self-control—the virtue that helps us pause, choose wisely, and follow God’s will even when it’s hard.
Self-control strengthens our hearts and minds, helping us make choices that reflect Christ’s love. Whether it’s practicing kindness, managing emotions, or resisting temptations, we’re encouraging our students to slow down, think, and act with intention.

5th Grade had a great experience today as they learned more about how our courts work from Judge Sabors!

Our 3rd graders were busy learners today! They practiced evaluating expressions through a fun “sweet treat” scoot activity that kept everyone moving and thinking. Students also worked on their Southeast states and capitals.

✨ Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Josephine Bakhita!
Once enslaved and later freed, St. Josephine’s life is a powerful witness to forgiveness, resilience, and unwavering faith. Through her trust in God, she transformed suffering into hope and became a voice for dignity, freedom, and love.
May her example inspire us to see the worth of every person and to live with compassion and courage. 🙏💙
